This is a great new series, at least to me. I know this isn’t the first one, but I needed a book and there it was. I will definitely go back and get the first one to get caught up.

 
This series is set with an original premise involving genetically engineered animal / human cross breeds. The author has done a good job with this, giving you just enough scientific tidbits to make it feel real without belaboring the exact hows and whys. The characters are well developed and individual and the romance well paced and believable.

 
This is my favorite kind of romance – paranormal elements, strong romantic theme and sex scenes which, while hot and steamy, make sense in the story.
