Magic in the Wind
by Christine Feehan
Pros: Good setting
Cons: Rushed romance
I don’t know if this book was actually written first, or if the author went back and wrote it after beginning the series with another book, but it definitely felt a little rushed. Only 103 pages is pretty short to cram the beginning of a whole series into. The setting was well done and the characters fairly well fleshed out, but the romance was glossed over – basically love at first sight. Fortunately, I know some of the others in this series are better.
