Love Bites

by Lynsay Sands

Pros: It has great love scenes and humor
Cons: The concept is not very original

When Etienne, a vampire, finds himself in a night shift morgue on the slab, so to speak, in coroner Rachel Garrets care, he developes an attraction for her and ends up having to change her into a vampire to save her life.

This is a great first novel in the series. If youre looking for a new vampire romance series to get into this book is pretty good. However some of the following novels begin to get a little repetitive, in the the sense that after this one, the novels continue on to show you the other members of the ‘family’ and their love lives. Overall, the only bad things I have to say about these books are their lack of originality and adventure. As a romance they are pretty typical but interesting nonetheless.

Some other novels in the series are: ‘A Quick Bite’ (which was also very good) ‘A Bite to Remember’ and ‘Bite Me if You Can’ Sands was also involved in short story compilation with Kim Harrison (and others) called ‘Dates From Hell’ that was great!
