This is the second in the Sookie Stackhouse series and I have to say Harris has created a charming and winning character—cocktail waitress, telepath, and girlfriend of a vampire. These books just keep getting better and better, they can be read in order or as a stand alone. Funny and action packed, Sookie just keeps getting deeper and deeper into the Vampire world. Charlaine Harris is my second favorite author. Her mystery novels are great as well.
