Pros: The constant action is the best thing about this book. You grow to really love this character.

Cons: As this is the first book, the erotic twists don't really get going until the second and third books.

I love this series. Anyone who is a fan of Laurell K Hamilton should really try these books. However, to really get the full effect you do have to start with the first book and read from there. These are books that build on one another, they are not really stand alone books. Although I started in the middle of the series, I really didn't know how much I liked them until I went back and reread them in order; this book being the first one.

Rachel Morgan, even though she is fantasy, is completely identifiable, funny and engaging. I thought, at first, that I would be put off by the story line in that there are demons that she battles, black and white witchcraft that she practices but I have to say honestly the story is so good that none of that is offensive ( If you are worried about that) Give it a try!
