Pros: The characters are fantastic
Cons: You have to read the books in order, however, that’s not really a con. They’re great!!!

 
This is the first book in the Darkyn series and is one of the best vampire series I’ve ever read. It is my new favorite. If I had to compare these books to anything, I would have to say they are most similar to JR Ward’s Brotherhood series. However, this is not a copycat. Viehl has made her vampires both classic and new; full of action, eroticism and danger. There are four books after this one: ‘Private Demon’ ‘Dark Need’ ‘Night Lost’ and ‘Evermore’ (which will be in stores in Jan 08).

 
I have read the first three and trust me they’re worth running to the bookstore to buy. As a matter of fact, save yourself some gas and just go ahead and buy all of them b/c you will be awake jonesing for the next book after you read this one. They are all original in their storyline, and the storylines continue building off of one another, using the same great characters. If you’re looking for a new vampire series to get into, this is the one!!!
